Class Descriptions
COMMUNITY EXCHANGE CLASS:
At The Yoga Exchange we believe in building and supporting our community around us. We are all connected on this journey together. Once a month we will have a donation class that will give all the proceeds to a local organization, family or person in need.
VINYASA FLOW IN THE BARN/VIRTUAL VINYASA:
Linking the breath with mindful, continual movement and creative sequencing, this heat-building flow will increase strength and flexibility, and train the mind to be more content and relaxed throughout the most difficult challenges on and off the mat. These classes are all levels.
SPA YOGA:
Spa yoga is a slow flow floor based yoga class that is based on the Fluid Yoga Sequencing. This class flows through the body’s senses to discover a deeper awareness. The physical practice spends time opening all energetic points of the body to leave the practitioner with a blissed out feeling. We will end with a relaxing 15 minute guided meditation. During SPA, you may discover extra hands-on assists and massages, a calming atmosphere, delightful scents and beautiful music in the background. Be prepared to feel like you just walked out of a SPA!
YIN/YOGA NIDRA:
Join us for an hour class of slow flow and yin yoga. We begin this class by moving slowly and mindfully through a range of standing postures, then we will transition into a yin yoga practice where we will hold floor poses for 3-5 minutes with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. We will end with a guided Yoga Nidra. Through this hour class we will cultivate awareness of inner silence and balance between strength and surrender.
MINDFUL MOVEMENT & MEDITATION:
In this class, we will warm up the body linking movement with breath, then we will sit for a short meditation and mindfulness practice to help train the mind both on and off the mat. We will focus on mindfulness and yoga lifestyle practices during this 30-minute class.
GENTLE FLOW:
Moving slowly and mindfully throughout this practice, gentle flow is a great class for those looking to relax and rejuvenate your body and mind. All levels Welcome.
PRENATAL/POSTPARTUM CLASSES:
We currently don't have separate prenatal/postpartum classes, but we do offer classes that would be great for you. We have a lot of pre and postnatal students that come to all of our classes.
